For an enduring example of just what even a "programming language" can be when the author doesn't care about programming language tradition and dials that feeling up to eleven, I highly recommend Graham Nelson's "Inform 7".
Is an I7 program "a set of logical assertions"? Yes.
Is it "English language text"? Also yes.
Is it chunks of a BASIC-like procedural language? Also yes.
Was it designed to run on a circa-1979 8-bit micro VM? Yes.
Imagine what this implies.

Gajim 1.4.0 has been released 🚀
After more than a year of development, it’s finally time to announce the release of Gajim 1.4.0! 🎉
Gajim 1.4 series comes with a completely redesigned message window and conversation management. Workspaces allow you to organize your chats to keep matters separate where needed. These changes were only possible by touching a lot of Gajim’s code base, and we appreciate all the feedback we got from you.

I wanna talk about this for a bit because I think it's an important piece of the UI puzzle that we just somehow haven't ever yet realised is a thing we need.
1) Text is a thing that we can a) edit and b) copy/paste
2) GUI constructs, on the other hand, generally we just... can't. They're like hot-glued to the screen.
3) but what if we could?

Humanity can not be made equal by declarations on paper. Unless the material conditions for equality exist, it is worse than mockery to pronounce men equal.

You know a software project is good when the relevant Wikipedia entry has a subsection called "Aesthetics"
Never, NEVER trust a spell checker, not even if it has a semantic AI looking for odd combinations of words.
Early this morning this ship was loaded with "legs", and probably because of that she ran aground.
Every AI knows that "legs" can be associated to the verb "run" more than "logs"…

WTF
